About the Corporate Sponsorship Program
The City recognises the importance of attracting and supporting events, programs or activities that deliver economic benefit to the local economy and contribute to a vibrant and dynamic community atmosphere. The Corporate Sponsorship Program aims to provide support to external organisations that are assisting the City to achieve its strategic vision by delivering events, programs and activities within the region.
Eligibility criteria
Applicants must ensure that the event, program or activity proposed meets the eligibility criteria.
The criteria includes:
- Reaches one or more of the City’s target market groups
- Create long term value to the City and it’s residents
- Provides positive exposure for the City’s brand and image
- Provides tangible branding and engagement benefits to the City
- Enhances the liveability of the City for the community
- Promotes Joondalup as a destination of choice for visitors
- Attracts visitors from outside of the region
- Provides benefits to local businesses.
How to apply
- Download the Corporate Sponsorship Guidelines (available below).
- Contact the City’s Strategic Marketing and Sponsorship Officer to discuss any details via info@joondalup.wa.gov.au.
- Complete the Corporate Sponsorship application online form.
Application considerations
- Applications received for under $10,000 will be assessed and approved by the Chief Executive Officer and applicants can expect an outcome within six weeks.
- Applications received for over $10,000 need to be presented to Council. Timeframes need to be discussed with the City’s Strategic Marketing and Sponsorship Officer and are dependent on the Council meeting schedule and report deadlines.
- Applicants need to ensure they allow enough time for assessment and processing prior to the commencement of the promotion of the event, program or activity.
- Organisations who have been successful in receiving Community Funding will be ineligible for Corporate Sponsorship within the same financial year.
Assessment
The success of an application is determined by:
- Its merits against the criteria and objectives outlined within the Guidelines
- Competition from other submissions or existing sponsorship agreements.
