The City’s website adheres to the internationally recognised Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) guidelines established by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and aims to meet the WCAG 2.1 Level AA standard. Information about the accessible features on the City’s website are detailed below:

Equal Web Accessibility Tool

The EqualWeb Auto AI Accessibility Widget is available on the City’s website and offers three main remediating adjustments: navigation adjustment colour adjustment and content adjustment.

Text size

For a temporary adjustment of text size in your browser, the standard method involves using the following keyboard shortcuts:

  • Use the zoom and increase font options from your browser’s menu
  • Press the Ctrl key (Microsoft Windows) or the Apple key (Mac OS) on your keyboard and use the + or – key to zoom in and out
  • Press Ctrl on your keyboard and scroll with your mouse wheel.

Documents and forms

We are in the process of gradually enhancing the accessibility of all Portable Document Format (PDF) documents and forms on this website to ensure they align with the W3C guidelines. Some historical PDF documents and some documents provided by third parties are not able to be provided in an accessible format.

Hyperlinks on the City’s website open in the same window with the exception of links to documents or external websites, which open in a new window.

Alternative formats

All City publications and documents can be provided in alternative formats upon request. These may include but are not limited to large print, alternative language, Braille, alternative file type.
