Residential bin collections

Find your bin collection days

The three-bin system helps manage general waste, recycling and garden organics efficiently. To find your bin collection day, please enter your residential address below.

When and how to put your bins out

Ensure your bins are placed on the kerb by 6am on your designated collection day, positioned for easy access by collection services.

Important note: The red bin is collected weekly, while the yellow and lime green bins are serviced on alternate weeks, allowing you to present two bins each week.

How to use your bins

The following provides general guidance on what can and cannot go in each bin. For more advice visit the A-Z Waste Disposal Guide web page.

The general waste bin is collected weekly and taken to Tamala Park landfill.

Tips for using your bin

  • for general waste only (see acceptable/non acceptable items below)
  • not for recyclables
  • the bin should not weigh more than 70kgs when full.
