Meet the authors: Chris Hammer & Christian White

Joondalup Libraries and Dymocks Joondalup are thrilled to host an evening in conversation with top selling crime authors, Chris Hammer and Christian White. Hosted by author Tess Woods, this evening in-conversation is a must for all crime fiction fans.

Christian White

Known as the master of the twist, Christian White is an Australian author and screenwriter whose credits include feature film Relic, Netflix series Clickbait, and numerous other projects.

His debut novel, The Nowhere Child (2018), was one of Australia's bestselling debut novels ever, with rights sold in 17 international territories, and a major screen deal.

His new novel, The Ledge, is a propulsive thriller that asks the question: How far would you go to help a friend?

Chris Hammer

Chris Hammer is a leading Australian crime novelist , and author of best-selling series: Scrublands, Silver and Trust.   His first book, Scrublands, was an instant #1 bestseller upon publication in 2018. It won the prestigious UK Crime Writers' Association John Creasey New Blood Dagger and was shortlisted for awards in Australia and the United States. 

All of Chris’ books have atmospheric Australian settings, a range of colourful characters, intricate plots, and emotional depth. 

His new novel, The Valley, features a page-turning plot, intriguing characters, and an evocative sense of place – where nothing is ever what it seems. 

Dymocks Joondalup will be selling both authors' books on the night and they will both be available for book signings.
