Lady Macbeth Played Wing Defence

As if Shakespeare needed any more drama – get ready to experience the mayhem of Macbeth set on the high-stakes Year 11 girls' netball court.

Serving unchecked ambition and inner turmoil, the classic cautionary tale finds its perfect contemporary equivalent - presented by an ensemble of triple-threats who dance, sing, and spit bars of perfect prose.

A dreaming and scheming team of melodramatic misfits train for their Inter-School Comp, and absolutely go over the line. But, hey “fair is foul, and foul is fair.”

With an all-female powerhouse cast, this energetic production breathes new life into a literary classic, fuelled by an electrifying soundscape, underpinned by electronic synth-pop compositions created by WAM award-winning musician PROJECT BEXX.

It's a cultural touchstone, Lady Macbeth pivots from Renaissance zero to a modern-day feminist hero – championing gender equality and advocating for a more inclusive future for women in sports.

Whether you love or loathe netball or ol’ Willy S. – Lady Macbeth Played Wing Defence will knock the wind out of you and leave you wanting more.

See you on the court, moll!
