A truly unique sensory smorgasbord awaits you on the opening evening of Joondalup Festival. Connect with loved ones and new friends as we come together to celebrate the rich and enduring culture of the Country we live on.
On the open-air terraced concourse outside Joondalup Library, take your seat at the long table and prepare to indulge in a mouthwatering selection of bushtukka inspired flavours and local produce, expertly prepared by the team at All Good Grub led by Kija woman Stacey Goodall.
Tastebuds will be tickled by a contemporary reimagining of traditional nutrient-rich ingredients sourced from Noongar Boodjar, including delicious delicacies such as quandongs, emu-apples and Eucalyptus olida.
Your ears are also in for a treat, with an evening of intimate performances set to stir you as you gorge, including a moving Welcome to Country by Whadjuk Ballardong Yorga Elder Robyn Collard, an acoustic performance from award-winning Noongar singer and frontwoman of The Merindas – Lily Gogos, and secret surprise performance yet to be announced.
What better way to welcome Djeran – the Noongar season of Adulthood – than having a date night or mate’s night out with good grub, free-flowing drinks, excellent entertainment, and an abundance of new friends just waiting to be made?
THE MENU
Entrée
A damper board with buffalo and crocodile chorizo, pepper-berry blini with lemon myrtle infused cream, brie and quandong puffs, olives, cheeses and bush tomato chutney.
Main
Crispy pork belly with muntries apple slaw, Davidson Plum chicken lollipops, Yonga meatballs, lemon myrtle garlic prawns, pumpkin and quinoa salad and garden salad.
Dessert
Lemon myrtle meringue tarts, chocolate truffles and strawberry gum cheesecake.
