Discovery Outbound - Akwaaba African Drumming (10am session)

Discover the rhythm of your soul through African drumming, music, art and culture. ​Akwaaba ("uh-kwaa-buh")...meaning “welcome” in the Akan language from Ghana. Akwaaba's vision is to use traditional African drumming and music as a tool to promote harmony and cultural understanding within the West Australian community.​

Learn how to drum under the trees at Rod Braddock Hall, Mullaloo, on Wednesday 18 December with facilitators Kofi and Sally from Akwaaba African Drumming, Art and Craft.

  • 10am-11am -  Drumming workshop
  • 11am-11.30am - Morning tea and mingle

Ticket Pricing for this event (price includes workshop and morning tea):
Adult $15
Concession (City of Joondalup residents only) $8

Notes: 
Adult tickets are available to any adults aged 50 and older. Only City of Joondalup residents who hold a valid WA Seniors, Commonwealth Seniors Health or Pensioner Concession card may purchase Concession tickets.

Cancellations and refunds: 
A program will only be cancelled if there are insufficient enrolments received one day prior to the event or due to factors beyond the City’s control. No individual refunds or credits will be given for general non-attendance.
