The City offers a range of events, activities and services for young people aged 11 - 25 years.
About the City's youth programs
The programs are designed to:
- Enhance life skills and create opportunities for young people.
- Build self esteem.
- Increase communication skills.
- Support and empower young people.
- Showcase the talents of young people.

Youth events
A variety of developmental and recreational events are available for young people. Some events include:
- School term and school holiday events: The City provides a variety of programs and services for young people during both the school term and school holidays.
- BMX, skate and scooter clinics: A series of skate clinics are held at Mirror Park Skate Park and Kinross Skate Park for young people who are beginners. The clinics offer coaching and support regarding skate park etiquette and use.
- BMX, skate and scooter competitions: Whether you're a seasoned user, or a budding enthusiast, these competitions offer a chance to showcase your skills, push your limits, and connect with fellow riders in an electrifying atmosphere of competition.

Anchors Youth Centre
Anchors Youth Centre provides a range of recreational and skill-building programs for young people.
Programs include Friday Drop In, Skills Based Term Program and School Holiday Program.
Anchors Youth Centre has an indoor basketball court, sports equipment, pool table, table tennis, ice hockey table, gaming consoles, board games, cooking workshops, arts and craft activities and free Wi-Fi.
Youth Workers are available to provide access to information, support and referral services.
Eligibility: For ages 11 - 18 years.
Location: Fridays, 3pm - 7pm. Heathridge Community Centre
*Closed during public holidays and an end of year period.

Youth art workshop
Over six weeks, from Thursday 6 March-Thursday 10 April, young people will explore a range of artistic workshops and activities focused on creativity and mindfulness. For more information and to book tickets, visit the City's event calendar.

Youth Truck
The Youth Truck is a custom-designed mobile youth service that provides a welcoming, free drop-in space for young people and access to youth workers for support, information and referral services. The truck includes amenities such as cooking facilities, gaming consoles, art and craft activities, sports equipment, tabletop and board games, free Wi-Fi.
The Youth Truck travels to various locations in the City of Joondalup, including local parks, schools and community events.
Eligibility: For ages 11 - 18 years.

- Monday, 3pm - 6pm, Kanangra Park, Greenwood
- Tuesday, 3pm - 6pm, Beldon Park, Beldon
- Wednesday, 3pm - 6pm, Shepherds Bush Pump and Jump Track, Kingsley
- Thursday, 3pm - 6pm, Kinross Skate Park, Kinross
- Friday, 5.30pm - 8.30pm, Mirror Park Skate Park, Ocean Reef
