
Opened in 2021, the Walk of Fame, located in the Joondalup City Centre is a showcase of local identities that have been recognised for achievements in their chosen fields. It seeks to inspire, and showcase role models for residents, while creating a record of community champions in a public and central site within the Joondalup City Centre.

Do you know a high achiever who deserves recognition?
The City of Joondalup is currently calling for nominations for the next installation of the Walk of Fame.
The Walk of Fame recognises outstanding achievements in the categories of Sport, Business and Community.
If you know someone who has ties to the City of Joondalup and has excelled in their field, nominate them to be commemorated in a Walk of Fame paver alongside other local greats.
Objectives
The objectives of the Walk of Fame are to:
- Celebrate significant achievements of local community members.
- Provide inspiration and role models for local residents.
- Create a valuable record of social history.
Selection criteria
Nominations should address the following criteria, providing as much detail as possible.
- Nominee has resided in the City for over five years and/or attended an educational institution that is located within the City of Joondalup for 5 years or more.
- Area of recognition: sports, business or community.
- Clubs played for are located within the City of Joondalup.
- Detail business, professional or community achievements.
- Nominee involvement with the community and/or philanthropy within the City of Joondalup.
- Awards received elsewhere.
- Media Profile.
Nomination guidelines
- Nominations must address the selection criteria.
- Nominators must agree to be contacted to verify information provided.
- Nominations must be received by the City before Friday 16 May 2025, 5pm.
- Nominations can be made by any individual or organisation.
- The decision of the selection group is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
- Any canvassing of Elected Members or City of Joondalup staff to influence a nomination will deem the nomination ineligible.
- Awards may be granted posthumously in recognition of recent or significant past achievements.
- Achievements of nominees may be in a voluntary or paid capacity.
- All nominations must be submitted on the official Walk of Fame nomination form either online or hard copy.
- Organisations, groups and business entities are not eligible for nomination.
Nomination form
All nominations must be made online, in person or via post and must be received by Friday 16 May 2025, 5pm.
- Online (preferred): Apply through the online form for efficiency and convenience.
- In person: Download and complete the nomination form below and submit at the City of Joondalup Customer Care Centre, 90 Boas Avenue, Joondalup.
- Mail: Alternatively, mail your hard copy application to the City at PO Box 21, Joondalup WA 6919.
Further Information
The City seeks nominations for the Walk of Fame every two years through a public process. Each nominee must have either resided in the City for over five years and /or attended a school within the City for more than five years.
