At its October 2024 meeting, the Joondalup Council endorsed a request to submit an ePetition to the Legislative Council of the Western Australian Parliament regarding the proposed $280 million Warwick Quarter development.
The ePetition argues that approving the proposed development without a precinct structure plan is contrary to proper planning, and requests the Legislative Council to support a request for the State Government to cancel the approval if granted by the Western Australian Planning Commission.
Further time to develop a structure plan will allow the community to have a greater say in future planning and development of the area.
Community members wishing to have input into the proposed development can view and sign the ePetition on the Parliament of Western Australia website.
