Discover the ancient and strategic board game of Go (Baduk/Igo/Wei’Qi) at our free community sessions in October and November.

Go is regarded as one of the world’s most ancient art forms. For millennia, the game has been used to teach strategic thinking. The goal of the game is not to win but to play a quality game.

The sessions will be held at Joondalup Library at 10am on the following days:

  • Saturday 12 October
  • Saturday 19 October
  • Saturday 26 October
  • Saturday 2 November

There is no cost, but online registration is essential. You can register for as many sessions as you would like to attend.

The Go sessions are open to all ages. Children must be accompanied by an adult for these sessions.

Whether you’re a complete beginner or a seasoned player, these meetings offer a fun and relaxing environment in which to learn, play, and connect with the local Go community.

  • Learn the basics of GO in just minutes.
  • Meet new friends.
  • Sharpen your strategic thinking in a game beloved by mathematicians, physicists, and thinkers worldwide.
  • Connect with local players and be part of the local Go movement.
  • All ages, backgrounds, and skill levels are welcome.
  • These sessions are facilitated by Dr Silvia Lozeva from Institute 361, supported by a City of Joondalup Community Grant.
