Formally trained in design, the artists diverse experience and skills have led to his growing interest and involvement in street furniture design and public art projects. The floor mosaic for the entry portico of the Joondalup Library draws inspiration from a number of themes and features associated with surrounding environment, in particular, Lake Joondalup – ‘the lake that glistens’.

Natural elements, including water and flora, have been stylised and arranged to symbolically reflect the concept of diversity and growth in harmony, with stainless steel elements evoking the play of light.
